Delta Drone designs and manufactures UAV systems (air vector, ground control stations, embedded software, and flight plan software) exclusively for its own internal use.
This strategy is a result of three factors:
- The need for materials to strictly comply with regulations and come equipped with all safety equipment (parachutes, redundant controls, system identification, etc.).
- Compliance with European and international regulations (even if temporary) on exports of dual-use goods and technology, requiring a complex procedure to be following during any transfer of drone systems to anywhere outside of the country, whether for sale or availability.
- The strategic choice is to not use drones from countries or manufacturers that do not comply with the regulations on dual-use goods and technologies.
The Group has a fleet of UAVs, comprised of fixed-wing (CTOL) systems and rotary-wing (VTOL) systems. All of these devices operate automatically and can carry various sensors (electro-optical, infrared, multispectral, etc.), depending on the mission.
