Drone/UAV Systems

Delta Drone designs and manufactures UAV systems (air vector, ground control stations, embedded software, and flight plan software) exclusively for its own internal use.

This strategy is a result of three factors:

  • The need for materials to strictly comply with regulations and come equipped with all safety equipment (parachutes, redundant controls, system identification, etc.).
  • Compliance with European and international regulations (even if temporary) on exports of dual-use goods and technology, requiring a complex procedure to be following during any transfer of drone systems to anywhere outside of the country, whether for sale or availability.
  • The strategic choice is to not use drones from countries or manufacturers that do not comply with the regulations on dual-use goods and technologies.

The Group has a fleet of UAVs, comprised of fixed-wing (CTOL) systems and rotary-wing (VTOL) systems. All of these devices operate automatically and can carry various sensors (electro-optical, infrared, multispectral, etc.), depending on the mission.

Delta X

Delta X is a helicopter-type drone made with composite materials, that has a vertical takeoff and landing. Its unladen weight of 5.8 kg allows to carry payloads until 1.5 kg. Delta X comes with an ICG® connection interface allowing the connection of compatible workloads.

Operated by a qualified remote drone pilot, Delta X is suitable for all high-precision work or in complex aerial environments.

  • Vertical takeoff and landing
  • Maximum speed: 0-65 km/h
  • Maximum wind: 50 km/h
  • Emergency parachute system (Scenario S3)
  • Unladen weight: 5,8 kg
  • Battery life: 15-20 min
  • Wingspan: 150 cm
  • High-precision imaging/pictures
  • Proximity of structures
  • French Directorate General of Civil Aviation scenarios: S1, S2, S3

Delta Y

Delta Y is a “plane”-type fixed-wing UAV. It can cover long distances and perform flights at an elevation of 150 m (regulated height defined by the French Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

Operated by a qualified remote drone pilot, the Delta Y is recommended for work on large areas or long distances.
